Author of The Lovers

Jay Seventy-Nine is a creative spirit trapped in a nine to five schedule, where he sells his soul in order to ensure there is bacon, his favorite food group, on his plate on Sunday mornings. To date his creative resume comprises: doodles on paper napkins; a starring role as the Tin Man, in a grade school production of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz; hours of role-playing Dungeons & Dragons as a buxom blonde vampire with dragon’s wings; two-tone borders around all reports submitted at his day-job; and an ever changing facial grooming pattern. Jay’s credentials in the world of writing are a diploma in Journalism (a career he chose not to follow, as it could not guarantee him the aforementioned bacon) completed in ’98 and having successfully read the 1st chapter of a book on form and plot bought for him by his girlfriend in order to hone his skill. He cites among his favorite authors: Ayn Rand; Robert Heinlein; Stephen King; Anne Rice; and the Prat in a Hat. The Lovers is the first story Jay’s written since graduating from high-school and he writes under a pseudonym as he has an irrepressible fear of failing at something he loves. | JAY'S WORK FOR SW: BROTHER EVIL - Originally published in SW#1 | |
